The Cherry Land School

Our preschool program has four dedicated classes
At The Cherry Land, we work towards exploring the innate potential of each child believing each child to be unique. Our goal is to stimulate their curiosity, guide them to explore, help them to acquire skills and instill the joy of learning which would set the tone for the rest of their lives.
Our programs incorporate an integrated curriculum that promotes learning primarily through music, art, drama, dance, projects, discover centers, computer activities, field trips, outdoor play and adventure.

The Cherryland School roots its basis/ inspiration from growth process. Just like a tree The Cherryland School invites the children to absorb the growth essence entirely by tapping into our infinite branches of energies.  Here, we nurture the child right from the sapling, growing and extending their horizons every year, completing the growth life cycle.  We not only inculcate the academic knowledge with all modern and necessary technologies but also hone their physical, social, emotional, intellectual, moral and lingual skills by giving the life experience stimuli.

Our curriculum is scientifically based on age appropriateness which simulates the child to discover, explore and extend their learning and knowledge.  We, at the Cherryland endeavor to provide a child friendly environment, enticing tools, toys and other equipment and scientifically designed and developed activities which help children understand and learn better. We believe in establishing a mother–teacher relationship with the children. With their warmth and love teachers identify the uniqueness of the children to facilitate and simulate them to explore themselves in different spheres for holistic development.

Vision!

The Cherryland envisions on the ‘Read, Lead and Succeed theory’.  It provides a platform where reading is made interesting and fun to learn.  The doing method of learning involves the child completely and helps provide a holistic development approach. Children are the future builders whose foundation solidarity is of utmost importance.  At the Cherryland we work towards achieving this goal through our exclusive activating teaching approach and dynamic staff members to make children tomorrow’s leaders to write their own success stories.

Read, Lead and Succeed Theory!

‘Importance of education in one’s life’ is inevitable. We, at ‘The Cherryland’ strongly believe in the READ, LEAD and SUCCEED mechanism which focuses on imparting education to children should be an evolutionary process. The concept of leadership at school is important because of its dynamism and pro-activity. It gives the children an eagerness to read and learn newer things in daily life. Therefore, our teaching techniques/activities/aids are all based on this unique idea of making children learn by giving them a sense of recognition and to make them feel the change in themselves at every step further motivating them to learn and do better things in routine. This practice of ours ensures the best utility of abundant levels of energy possessed by the first time school goers.

Deepika Ahluwalia Dewan

Mrs. Deepika Ahluwalia, born and brought up in Chandigarh completed her honors degree in Psychology from Punjab University, Chandigarh. She later went on to do a Masters degree in International Business and Management from the University of Manchester, UK. Deepika has been involved in Community Services since her early days in college and has been an avid manager of various state/national level events during her tenure as the president of the ‘Rotary International Youth Wing’ of her college. After completing her masters in International Business Management and equipping herself with professional techniques of business management, she set up her own pre-school in Derabassi, Punjab. Apart from this she holds a Diploma in CCed qualification as well.

Her areas of expertise are child psychology, management psychology and pre-school curriculum development. Her passion to learn new concepts in everyday life has made her a successful entrepreneur. She is both young and dynamic.

Deepika, an avid reader and sports enthusiast has represented her school and college teams in kho-kho, badminton, skating. She is also highly motivated to fulfill her social responsibilities towards the society she lives in.

Angad Marwah

Mr. Angad, born and brought up in Punjabi business family completed his bachelor in Business Administration recently. Angad is very passionate to work in the field of Marketing and Commerce. His passion comes from his family, which have been successful businessmen/women from the last 3 decades. He is a constant learner and a keen observer. Angad is successfully/efficiently running a pre-school in Pathankot, Punjab. His key areas of work are – Business marketing and negotiations.

Angad is an avid traveler, poetry writer and loves to explore new things in life.

We understand that a teacher plays a role of a mother in school, who not only influences the mind of a child but also is a future builder. At Cherryland, we ensure high quality training to the teachers, so that they adapt to the education dynamics aptly and understand the child’s need. Apart from the educational qualifications and training we ensure that the teachers are skilled, warm and nurturing in their approach. Further, vestibule trainings are conducted to hone their abilities, impart latest knowledge and techniques in the childhood education.

Assessment is an important part of learning. Teachers assess the students through an array of latest methods, innovative tools and schemes. It also, includes written reports which are presented to the parents on PTM’s held at regular intervals. However, parents may contact teachers on prior appointment whenever they feel necessary.
